The idea behind Pure Alchemy emerged during the lockdown periods spanning 2020 and 2021. Due to the restrictions imposed on peoples lives, local businesses and some of our favourite places for a tipple or two or three – the way we enjoyed alcoholic beverages and the experience changed to home and garden-based environments. We quickly missed our favourite drinks, fell out of love with brought varieties and craved seasonal and expressive variations on the classics. Pure Alchemy was born.
We started to research the best bartenders in the world, lost and forgotten recipes, experimenting with famous and classic cocktails, all culminating in the Pure Alchemy menu, which was 18 months in the making. It was our key eye for detail, and palate to subtly balance complex flavours, teamed with our ability to select garnishes, which visually complement cocktails that set us apart from our competitors.
Our drinks soon turned from the standard, to the sublime.
Our drinks, although complicated in preparation are unpretentious and focus on taste, with an emphasis on balancing flavours to maximise the drinking experience. We use the highest quality ingredients, locally sourced where possible (Yorkshire Gin, British Fruits & English Sparkling Wine) to ensure that each individual component compliments the other, without compromising the overall mouthfeel and balance to create something that works perfectly. We utilise traditional ingredients and enhance them with unique and experimental techniques. Our complex ideas and processes take place behind the scenes, where fat washing, sous vide infusions and smoke bombing take place. This makes an elaborate glassware. As the guest and customer we want you to enjoy your drinks and company as much as possible. Therefore, many of the long processes take place prior to service to ensure a smooth, quick and hassle free experience.
As a mobile team of bartenders and service staff who make hosting look effortless, we pride ourselves on offering a warm and friendly service for any occasion. Our staff want to make you and your guests feel as comfortable as possible and will tailor our approach to meet your specific needs. We are constantly learning and adapting to feedback and want our clients to feel at ease, with a sense of discovery and understanding
Although we are passionate about our own creations, we fully embrace that not all your guests will be as passionate as we are about our bespoke drinks (Signature Menu). Therefore, we have a vast array of more well-known cocktails and drinks on offer (House Menu). We can supply and serve for specific scenarios such as Champagne and Prosecco receptions, along with cold bottled lagers and craft beers, which are all available upon request.
Finally, we want to make you aware that we take the health and safety of your guests extremely seriously. Our team’s hand-hygiene is meticulous and we provide them with state-of-the-art hypochlorous acid – a non-alcoholic based hand sanitiser, which is 100 times more efficient than traditional sanitiser, but safe enough to drink.
All of our equipment is thoroughly sterilised prior to our events, and our on site processes ensure that all glass and utensils are carefully washed between each serving. We will provide food hygiene certificates and full public liability insurance prior to each event and will consider any additional suggestions to make your event as safe and secure as possible. For events where we provide the alcohol, individual event licences will be sourced on your behalf.
